Joseph Keough is the Chairman & CEO of Wood Partners.
Prior to joining Wood Partners in 2008, Keough acted as the Chief Operating Officer of Fuqua Capital, where he was responsible for the day-to-day management of the Fuqua family’s office operations as well as defining and implementing the firm’s investment strategy across asset classes. He previously served as the Senior Vice President, Development and Investment Strategy, in the office/multifamily division at Cousins Properties, a publicly-traded REIT. Prior to joining Cousins, he was a Principal at The Boston Consulting Group.
Keough earned his MBA from Harvard Business School and received his bachelor’s degree in Finance and Economics from Babson College.
Matt Trammell is the Chief Financial Officer at Wood Partners, responsible for overseeing the project and corporate finance functions as well as the company’s property operations and dispositions. Mr. Trammell joined Wood Partners in 2008 and serves on Wood’s Investment Committee and is a member of its Board of Managers. He has been actively involved in the financing of more than 60,000 multifamily units totaling $14 billion in total capitalization during his time with the company.
Prior to joining Wood Partners, Mr. Trammell spent two years as an analyst with Novare Group, a development company focused on high-density mixed-use opportunities around the Southeast.
Bennett Sands is a Regional Director of Development with responsibility for Wood Partners’ East region, which includes Boston, the Mid-Atlantic, the Carolinas, Nashville, and Georgia. His role encompasses oversight of development, finance, construction, and asset management, and he serves on the company’s Investment Committee. Previously, Bennett served as Development Director in Wood Partners’ Atlanta office.
Bennett joined the company in 2003 and has since been actively involved in more than $1 billion in real estate transactions. Prior to joining Wood Partners, Bennett worked in Investment Banking for Robinson-Humphrey in Atlanta.
Bennett earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from Vanderbilt University. He attributes his success to the MBA with a Real Estate concentration that he earned from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.
Emily Fagan is a Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Wood Partners. She is responsible for accounting, human resources and technology. For the first 12 years of her tenure with Wood Partners, Emily served as Chief Accounting Officer and was responsible for the company’s accounting and reporting on owned and managed assets.
Prior to joining Wood Partners, Emily was the Development Controller of Novare Group, where she was responsible for the accounting on a high-density mixed-use development portfolio of $1.4 billion across the Southeast. Emily began her career in public accounting, working first in the audit practice at Arthur Andersen and then at KPMG.
When not working Emily can be found running, hiking, and attending sporting events with her husband and two young sons.
Emily is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Georgia and North Carolina and a graduate of Wake Forest University with a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.
Marc Brambrut is the Managing Director for Wood Partners in Atlanta. He is responsible for the sourcing, financing, and development of multifamily and mixed-use communities throughout Georgia, with an emphasis on the Atlanta metropolitan region. Over the course of his career, Marc has been actively involved in the development of more than 11,000 apartment and condominium residences nationwide.
Prior to joining Wood Partners, Marc served as Senior Vice President of Development at Portman Residential, where he helped lead the firm’s multifamily development platform and pipeline strategy. He previously held senior roles as a regional development partner for Fairfield Residential and as Senior Vice President of Novare Group, delivering large-scale urban and suburban mixed-use projects across major Sunbelt markets.
Marc received a master’s degree in Real Estate Finance and Development from Johns Hopkins University and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia.
